Strategies for Success program: Library and Technology Lab open for student and family use, Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm. Teachers, staff and community volunteers are available for homework and technology help. Light dinner served in the library.

Madrona K-8 Softball Stars

FYI, current Madrona students Martina Davis, Martenus Davis, and Emma Hughes along with former Madrona students Jace Conroy and Emma June Orth will be playing in the 11/12 year old state all-star softball tournament this weekend at Valley Ridge Fields in Seatac.  Game is 1pm Sunday!  [from super-coach Jon Hughes]

New Principal Announced!

Please welcome our new Principal Ms. Farah Thaxton to Madrona K-8!  Superintendent Maria Goodloe-Johnson announced the appointment in a letter to the community on May 7, 2010.  A copy of the letter can be found here.

Change of Principal Announced

In a letter dated 1/13/2010, the Seattle School District Superintendent announced that our esteemed Principal at Madrona K-8 will be reassigned to Interagency Academy.  You can download a copy of the letter here:

The rationale for this move is unclear, and the Madrona K-8 PTSA is deeply saddened.

PTSA General Meeting: Wednesday, January 13 in the school lunchroom. Dinner served at 6 p.m., meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
