The fifth graders just returned yesterday from their week-long trip at Islandwood where they spent the majority of their time in project-based fieldwork and conducting scientific research. This year the Madrona K-8 staff is implementing an exciting new “Three-way Conference” format for parent-teacher conferences. The major difference is that now the student will be included in the conference in addition to the parent and the teacher. More details are included in the letter from Principal Kaaren Andrews, which can be downloaded here. [...] November 27th & 28th We have a gift wrap table at Barnes & Noble Friday and Saturday from 1-4 at the University Village Store. We need at least 2 adults and 6 students to help per day. We have two shifts, from 1-2:30 and 2:30-4. We don’t need to bring supplies. The PTSA will provide collection [...] On Wednesday, November 18th in in our school library, we had a nice turnout of about 25 people interested in Foster Parenting.
