Bookfair Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers to help run our winter bookfair!

Set-up is Thursday December 4 at the end of school in the Madrona library, and we need about 3 more people.

We also need volunteers for bookfair sales at school opening and closing the week of December 8th. We will also be open during the Thursday night winter concert, and Saturday the 13th during the open gym.

No experience necessary! We’ll show you how everything goes, including working the registers during sales.

For more information, see our sign-up page or contact ptsa@madronapantherpartners.

Support GHS Softball Girls headed to China

Madrona Alehouse, Wednesday, Nov 19th from 7-10
Please join us at the Madrona Alehouse (34th and Union) on Wednesday, November 19th to meet the three softball players that will represent our area (all have attended Madrona K-8 or Washington, and now Garfield High) in China in December! They are raising funds to pay for this once in a life time experience.

Come on out, mingle with friends and community members. These girls are exceptional softball players and student athletes. Two are alumni of Seattle Central Little League, one is a varsity basketball player as well for Garfield, and two play for Seattle Spice Fastpitch. We hope to see you there!

Jog-a-Thon Raised over $16,000!

Thank you students and families! We beat our Jog-a-Thon Goal and Raised $16,719!
Thank you to all the students, parents and families that ran, pledged and raised funds for our PTSA.  We beat our $15,000 goal and will use this money to pay for things like art instruction, chess scholarships and other academic and enrichment needs for our students. Congratulations to Ms Paul’s Kindergarten class for winning the Golden Shoe & for Ms Hinds First Grade class for winning the Class Parfait Bar.  And, twenty-four 6-8th graders ran more than 10 laps around the entire school block earning a parfait bar, too!
