Madrona prides itself on our sense of community with your child in the center. It is through our relationships with each other that we can build a wonderful learning environment. We encourage parents to partner with us—becoming active participants in your child’s and the school’s educational journey. We are determined to create a safe learning environment for every student and deliver instruction that will enhance and challenge our students. “Every Student by Name and Need” will continue to be a focus this year. This upcoming school year will be amazing and we look forward to meeting new families this year and reconnecting with returning families.
Please join us for the 2016 Madrona K-8 Science Fair on Tuesday, June 14th 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Students in every grade have been working hard on their Science Fair Projects! Please help us celebrate their hard work and our wonderful school cummunity.
Dinner will be served at 5:30.
The parade line up will start at 9:15 in Al Larkins park. This year, the parade will be led by the Seattle Fire Department and a group of SANCA circus performing kids. At 9:30am all of the events will open in the Madrona Play field:Pony Rides, Bouncy Houses, Obstacle Course, Break dancing lessons, Balloon artists, Hot Dogs, St. Cloud’s Imperial Mix up, Peanut Butter & Marshmallow sandwiches, Cotton Candy & Bake Sale, SANCA Circus Show at 10:00am in the Shelter House lawn. The Reptile Man Show at 10:30am in the Shelter House lawn, Flower potting station, a photo booth, and face painting and Recess Monkey concert at 12:00pm.
And, come bid on original art, date night packages, tickets to Disneyland and more at the Madrona PK-8 3rd Annual Silent Auction in the tennis court.
The Madrona Community Council & Madrona PK-8 will also be hosting a tile painting station. Come create your own piece of original artwork that will be installed in the new Reader Board on the corner of 33rd & Union.
There will also be Trike/Bike/Scooter decorating on Friday, May 13th from 4:30-6:00 at the Madrona Shelter House. Come get your bike all ready for Saturday’s parade.

Students and families join us for a fun filled evening of math games, delicious food and lots of great prizes. Try to get to 100! Winners of some games will be announced at the February 26th assembly.
This event is a joint effort between the Madrona K-8 school and the Madrona Community Council, and celebrates Neighborhood Appreciation Day by bestowing four neighborhood awards and multiple school awards for staff, teachers and students. Come support our great community and join in some neighborhood fun. Treats and beverages provided.
